We are so glad you’ve found your way to this Energize Williamstown website! Here you’ll discover tools and resources to motivate and support everyone in Williamstown to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve other related goals. You can take action at home, at work, and in daily life — along with your family, neighbors, and Williamstown businesses, schools and nonprofits — to prepare for a changing climate and help reduce climate impacts.

The site will continue to evolve! We’ve started with a few actions, and will continue to add new actions. We will also do our best to update information, for as we know, technology and incentives are constantly changing.

How did we come up with these actions?

The actions on the Energize Williamstown website are designed to address the climate goals outlined in a Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions Resolution adopted by Williamstown Town Meeting voters in 2021 and further described in the 2024 Williamstown Climate Action Plan. Actions focus on five major areas:  Buildings, Transportation, Clean Energy & Storage, Solid Waste, and Natural Resources & Agriculture, and include something for everyone.

Goals for 2026

Our goals for 2026 are:

• 500 Williamstown households, businesses and institutions join the Energize Williamstown campaign by setting up an Energize Williamstown account

• Participants take 1000 actions

As we work toward the 2050 net zero emissions target set out in Williamstown’s Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions Resolution, our Energize Williamstown goals will increase each year.
